Sinq announces cognitive profiling assay. Our substantial experience studying the neural basis of cognition has led us to develop a rapid assay of brain function - with proven sensitivity to detect differences in prefrontal cortex, hippocampus and the neocortex as a whole. Changes in spatial memory encoding or sensory/reward representations can be measured and are applicable to many model systems.

Sinq opens informatics division. As imaging and quantitative techniques become more complex, more and more labs are using custom analysis and visualization tools. At Sinq, we have developed software for many applications including integration of basic microscopes and in-vivo imaging rigs, and tools that make image analysis faster and more robust. Our new division will continue to develop these tools, customize them for your applications, and make them available to labs at prices much lower than commercial software packages.
